My heart goes out to that little boy who had to grow up too fast,
Because he had to help his parents take care of his home.
To that man who had to sleep on the cold hard floor,
So his child and wife could have a warm bed.
To that little girl who has to see the world from a hospital bed,
Because the cancer has left her broken.
To that woman who has to stay home from work,
Because the bruises from her husband is yet to heal.
To that student who drinks himself to sleep,
So his friends would not know he has failed yet another course.
For as surely as the dawn would break into another day,
You have the hope of liberty today.
